I’m an ok golfer (others may say terrible golfer) who enjoys a round with friends. I started playing golf when I was about 12 years old and I have been addicted ever since
When I was younger I recall walking into a golf store and seeing Ian Poulter’s head cover on a shelf, it’s one that looks exactly like him and he used to use it on tour (here is a picture of it).
At the time I thought, “wow, wouldn’t it be great if I could have a headcover that looks like me!”. But Mr. Poulter had such a following he could make and sell 1000’s of them, so production was easy for him.
But I, on the other hand, wanted a bespoke one, how could that be done? I just couldn’t find the answer.
Well that was when I was 16 and I’m now 36. I just couldn’t work out how to do it, but over those years I stayed with the idea.
First I found a manufacturer, then a designer, fabric printers and some great sewers and finally I realised it was possible.
The name followed “myheadcover.com” and the website and finally, the idea was a reality.
